Founder's Day!!
On October 15, 1898, nine young women
at the Virginia State Female Normal School (now Longwood University)
founded Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity on the precepts of loyalty,
responsibility, service, leadership and commitment. Each year, Zetas
across the globe celebrate the Fraternity's past and Founders' with
special Founders' Day ceremonies.
There was a joint event with NOVA ZTA Alumnae and
Loudon County ZTA Alumnae at Army Navy Country Club in Fairfax Virginia.
For the 12th Annual Yoplait Lid Drive, the company will donate 10 cents for every lid collected by December 31, 2010, to Susan G. Komen for the Cure;
Yoplait will donate a total of
up to $1.6 million, with a minimum donation of $500,000.
Donation boxes have been placed around the area,

Save Your Plastic Twist Lids!
This year Western Fairfax ZTA will be participating in Aveda's cap recycling program. The beauty product company has been able to work closely with our suppliers to develop ways to make new caps and containers from the recycled caps. They hope to ship new products using this reworked, environmentally-friendly material later this year. Please bring your caps to each chapter event and give them to Edwyna! The program accepts caps that are rigid polypropylene plastic, sometimes noted with a 5 in the chasing arrows recycling symbol.
